Yoga+Acupuncture

3rd Thursday monthly, 6-7:30pm: Yoga teacher Marilyn Calver leads this monthly experience at the Stillwater studio. Using the supported poses of a one-hour restorative yoga practice, Marilyn gently guides your body out of fight-or-flight mode (sympathetic dominance) and into rest-and-digest mode (parasympathetic nervous system). The practice ends with a 30-minute Savasana, or final resting pose. In this optimum state, when the body is at its peak receptiveness to heal and repair, Aimee Van Ostrand, L.Ac. moves to each participant and places a few needles to treat specific health issues. Fully guided, no experience needed. Cost: $35.

Gentle yoga | Mondays 2-3pm, in-studio: New to yoga? Start here! Students of any experience level are welcome. Levels 1-3.

Continuing mixed-levels yoga | Thursdays 9:30-10:45am, in-studio: Some experience is helpful but all are welcome. Level 2.

Saturday morning yoga | 8:30-9:45am, in-studio: Start your weekend with yoga! This class includes options for deepening your practice. Mixed levels.

Yin yoga/monthly moon practice | Third Tuesdays 5:30-6:45pm, in-studio: Yin yoga works to provide flexibility within the connective tissues through passive stretches held for several minutes at a time. This practice meets you where you are. Check the calendar for dates, as they may vary occasionally. Mixed levels.

Monthly restorative yoga workshop | Last Sundays 2-3:15pm, in-studio: The essential antidote for our fast-paced, stressed-out lives. Fully supported postures with breath work and guided relaxation. No experience is required; all props are provided. Just come as you are and enjoy this deeply nourishing practice.

ONLINE continuing mixed-levels yoga | Mondays 9:30-10:45am CT: Some experience is helpful but all are welcome. Level 2. If you prefer to practice/pause/repeat on your own time, recordings are available for either 7 days or permanent download. Email Marilyn directly for details. ONLINE gentle yoga | Wednesdays 9:30-10:30am CT: New to yoga? Start here! Students of any experience level are welcome. Yoga4Cancer hybrid classes | 2nd & 4th Sundays monthly, 4-5pm CT:  Join us at the Stillwater studio or online via Zoom! Gentle and accessible research-based oncology yoga for those going through cancer treatment, cancer survivors, those in palliative care, and their caregivers led by Yoga4cancer-certified instructor Liz Stoeckmann, who is also a breast cancer survivor. Yoga4cancer classes help cancer patients and survivors maintain a strong immune system, build strength and flexibility, reduce cancer-related fatigue, improve sleep and reduce anxiety,  manage treatment side effects, create self confidence, cultivate hope and a sense of well-being, support long-term health goals, and foster community. ONLINE Exploring Meditation | 1st & 3rd Sundays monthly, 4-4:45pm CT: Based on classical meditation teachings adapted to suit modern life, the iRest meditation technique helps you meet each movement with peace and well-being. Practiced and taught by thousands of people in a wide range of settings, iRest is simple to grasp and, once learned, becomes a set of tools for life. Benefits include improved sleep; relief of chronic pain; decreased stress, depression and anxiety; deeper yoga practice; and better health and well-being. ONLINE chair yoga |Mondays, 4-5pm CT: This class is perfect for those who are wheelchair bound, are recovering from an injury or health event, have balance issues, or just need a safe place to start a low-impact movement practice. No experience or equipment is needed to join this online class, just a chair.

Individual sessions

Yoga was originally taught one-on-one, teacher to student. This traditional approach meets the individual where they are and supports their unique body, life and goals. One session may be enough to address your needs or you may opt for more. Both Marilyn Calver and Liz Stoekmann offer these individual sessions.

Besides single sessions, Marilyn offers a three-session package that includes initial intake, a personal home practice plus a follow-up/review. Audio and/or video recordings of your practices are also an option. Marilyn works with individuals both at the Stillwater studio and via Zoom. Email Marilyn for full details and to schedule.

Cost & cancellation policies

While each instructor may choose to price their offerings differently or offer passes specific to their classes, our general prices and sliding-scale policy are available HERE.

While we understand health-related cancellations, we may not be able to refund prepaid reservations. If you need to cancel, we ask that you let us know at least 24 hours before the scheduled class or workshop. This gives us an opportunity to try filling your spot and to extend your reservation to a later date, if possible.
